Welcome to Avenue Primary Academy

Our core purpose is to nurture a love of learning in everyone and prepare them for the future they choose.

The aims of this website are to provide prospective parents, carers and children with useful information about the school, especially if you are looking around Sutton schools to see which is the most appropriate for your child; to provide prospective staff with information about why they would want to work here; and to give current parents, staff, governors and pupils up-to-date information at the click of a button!

Enjoy your visit!

Our Academy

Avenue Primary School became Avenue Primary Academy on 1st September 2015. Both terms 'school' and 'academy' appear on this website, and are used interchangeably.

Avenue Primary Academy is a member of Cirrus Primary Academy Trust, is a Teaching School and a National Support School.

Mission Statement

At Avenue Primary Academy we recognise and develop the potential of each and every person, empowering them and giving them the confidence to play a positive role in society as responsible citizens. We aim high and believe we can succeed. We work as a team, in a supportive community where everyone is valued equally within a safe and engaging environment.

We have started a campaign to raise money to replace our swimming pool. 61 years ago the school, along with committed parents, built the school's pool so that for the next 61 years, children like yours were able to learn to swim. We need to ensure that we have the same forward-thinking vision for our children and for future generations. Please click on the Every Child a Swimmer logo to visit our dedicated website with further details.

At Avenue Primary Academy the teachers give up a huge amount of their own time to run clubs and offer extra opportunities to the children. During the spring term the following clubs will be running. The teacher in charge of each club will send out an individual letter to the children with all the details of their club and the permission slip.

The clubs run at different times and for different lengths during the term.
